MY STORY

Greetings! I am Stanley Ho, a passionate event producer hailing from the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. My adventure into event production started in 1999, which led me to orchestrate my first significant event, "in-STAN-taneous," at the Strathcona Community Centre in 2000. That same year, I joined forces with a group of close friends and co-founded "Uh-Oh! Productions." Together, we held our debut event, drawing over 500 attendees to the BC Hall room in Plaza of Nations. The success of Uh-Oh! Productions led to a collaboration with Twisted Productions in 2001, culminating in our first all-night event, "Uh-Oh! It's Twisted."

In 2003, fate intervened, allowing Uh-Oh! Productions and the Shy Brothers to combine their talents and create a flagship event, "INSOMNIA." We ultimately merged both companies under a single brand, "SOLID." For over two decades, SOLID has been a catalyst for electronic dance music across Western Canada, spawning renowned brands such as "FUSION DREAMS," "DOOMS NIGHT," "SOLID NYE," "MASSIVE GALA," "BASSZONE," and more. Producing countless shows with artists such as Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Headhunterz, Alesso, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, KSHMR, Carnage, W&W and many more.

This fruitful partnership enabled SOLID to acquire two of Vancouver's most prestigious venues: Harbour Event Centre (2014) and Harbour Convention Centre (2018). As our company thrived, I expanded my event production and marketing expertise to Toronto in 2016, introducing a new brand, "ELECTRIC ESCAPE." Initially focusing on the trance genre, we executed two successful events, "Escape 138" and "Escape Together," demonstrating the resilience and vibrancy of Toronto's trance scene. My team and I then launched a new club series, "U4RIA - A Journey to Trance," which has flourished since 2017.

Our boldest endeavor, "True North Music Festival," took place at the International Centre in Mississauga, ON, in May 2017 which had an overall attendance of over 3000 plus attendees. It still proved to be the most challenging experience of my career, leaving my Toronto team and me financially strained. However, with unwavering support from my family and team, I overcame this hurdle.

In June 2018, Electric Escape hosted its first-ever 2-DAY trance festival, "U4RIA," at the Toronto Event Centre. Despite appearing successful, we faced another significant financial setback. Nonetheless, our dedication and persistence led us to co-host Insomniac's flagship trance brand, "Dreamstate Canada," in April 2019 at Harbour Convention Centre in Vancouver.

Throughout two decades, event production has been a whirlwind of victories, risks, and sacrifices. My family and friends have served as my steadfast support system, helping me endure and persist. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, I temporarily pivoted to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) industry to offset the financial strain on my event production. In 2021, I delved into the world of Pokemon Trading Card Game, creating protective cases and selling collector items. My Elite Training Box became one of the biggest collector stores in the market with my rare collection of sealed Pokemon boxes. 

When British Columbia reopened businesses in Fall 2021, I parted ways with SOLID and embarked on a solo journey, forging a legacy with "Ensō," formerly Harbour Event Centre. Supported by my family and friends, I continue to grow and adapt, ever grateful for their unwavering support and love.

Currently, I am producing events across Canada in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto with my brand Electric Escape. Hopefully branching off to other provinces & states shortly as I continue to push the boundaries. In short, I've been able to successfully identify new and upcoming talent in the market. My short term goal in the near future would be to become an agent for these artists for North America. Stay tuned.
