Stanley Ho – Event Producer | Entrepreneur | Visionary

Greetings! I’m Stanley Ho, an event producer and entrepreneur based in Vancouver, BC, with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. My journey began in 1999, leading to my first major event, in-STAN-taneous, at the Strathcona Community Centre in 2000. That same year, I co-founded Uh-Oh! Productions with close friends, hosting our debut event at the BC Hall (currently known as HECC) in Plaza of Nations, drawing over 500 attendees. This early success led to a collaboration with Twisted Productions in 2001, culminating in our first all-night event, Uh-Oh! It’s Twisted.

In 2003, a pivotal partnership between Uh-Oh! Productions and the Shy Brothers gave rise to INSOMNIA, our flagship event. This success led to the merger of both companies under SOLID, a brand that became instrumental in shaping the electronic dance music scene in Western Canada. Over the years, SOLID developed renowned brands such as FUSION DREAMS, DOOMS NIGHT, SOLID NYE, MASSIVE GALA, BASSZONE, and more. I’ve had the privilege of producing events featuring world-class artists like Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Headhunterz, Alesso, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, KSHMR, Carnage, and W&W, among many others.

As our company expanded, SOLID acquired two of Vancouver’s most prestigious venues--Harbour Event Centre (2014) and Harbour Convention Centre (2018). Seeking to push my limits further, I ventured into the Toronto market in 2016, launching Electric Escape, initially focused on the trance genre. Our events, Escape 138 and Escape Together, showcased the resilience of Toronto’s trance scene and led to the creation of the successful club series U4RIA – A Journey to Trance.

In May 2017, I took one of my biggest risks yet—launching True North Music Festival at the International Centre in Mississauga, drawing over 3,000 attendees. It was the most challenging experience of my career, leaving my Toronto team and me financially strained, but I persevered with the unwavering support of my family and team. In June 2018, Electric Escape hosted its first-ever 2-day trance festival, U4RIA, at the Toronto Event Centre, followed by co-hosting Dreamstate Canada with Insomniac in April 2019 at Harbour Convention Centre.

Event production has been a journey of victories, challenges, and sacrifices. My family and close friends have been my rock, helping me navigate the highs and lows of this industry. When COVID-19 disrupted the world in 2020, I pivoted into the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) industry to sustain my business by importing and distributing over millions of medical supplies across Canada. In 2021, I expanded into the Pokémon Trading Card Game market, launching one of the largest collector stores specializing in sealed Pokémon boxes and protective cases.

With British Columbia reopening in Fall 2021, I embarked on a new chapter—parting ways with SOLID to establish Ensō, formerly Harbour Event Centre. With the unwavering support of my family and friends, I continue to innovate and evolve.

In 2025, we made a bold decision to evolve—Enso became Aurum Event Centre. This transformation marked a shift from a live entertainment–only venue to a dynamic, multi-purpose event space. With stunning renovations and upgraded technology, Aurum now attracts not only top-tier artists but also a wide range of corporate events, galas, and premium productions.
Today, I produce events across Canada in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto, with plans to expand into new markets. Beyond event production, my next goal is to transition into artist representation, identifying and nurturing emerging talent for the North American market.

My journey is far from over—this is just the beginning.
